Agropolis is a scalable transitional urban farm within Christchurch’s inner city. It involves composting organic waste from inner city hospitality businesses as well as the ground preparation, sowing and planting, harvesting, cooking and distribution of the produce. EMNZ has been working with Agropolis over the past year supporting their initiatives and providing advice on how EM and Bokashi (inconjunction with ZingBokashi) can be incorporated and enhance their systems.
In the below video we interview Annelies the Agropolis project coordinator. She explains what Agropolis is, the purpose of the initiative, their challenges and how EM and Bokashi are helping the project.
